How it works
No account, no app, no upsell. Three steps and you're talking to a neighbor.
Pick a category
For sale, yard sale, free, wanted (ISO), housing, or gigs — tap the tab that fits and you're in.
Post a quick listing
Title, price (or "Free / OBO"), a few details, and the area. It's text-only for now — no photo upload yet, so describe it well.
Buyers reach you
Leave the contact you choose — email, phone, or an IG handle. You decide how people get hold of you.
It's a public board — anyone in KC can read it. That's the whole point.
KC marketplace & yard sales
Hunting for a dresser, off-loading the garage, or trying to give away a free couch before the rain hits? It all happens right here. Pick a tab, post, browse.
For sale & free
Furniture, tools, baby gear, plants, that air fryer you used twice. Selling or giving — it all moves here.
Yard & garage sales
Post your weekend sale with the address, hours, and the good stuff so the crowd shows up.
Wanted, housing & gigs
ISO a specific thing? Renting a room or sublet? Need a hand moving a couch? Drop a post.
Buy and sell safe
This is a free, open board. We don't process payments, hold money, or vet posts — so a little street smarts goes a long way. The vast majority of KC neighbors are exactly who they say they are. Cover these basics and keep it that way.
- Meet in safe public places. Daytime, busy spots. Many KC police stations have a marked "safe exchange" lot built for exactly this — use it.
- Never wire money or share bank details. No Zelle to strangers, no gift cards, no "deposit to hold it." Pay in person, in cash or a trusted app, when you have the item in hand.
- Inspect before you pay. Plug it in, sit on it, test it, look it over. If it's not what the post said, walk away — no hard feelings.
- Bring a friend for big items. Couches, appliances, anything you're hauling — a second person makes pickups safer and easier.
We don't process payments or vet posts. All Access KC is a free bulletin board — use common sense, and trust your gut if something feels off.
How to write a listing that moves
Be specific
Brand, size, color, condition. "Solid oak table, seats 6" beats "table for sale."
Name the area
Cross-streets or neighborhood — Waldo, Northland, Westport. People want to know how far.
Price it clearly
A number, "OBO," or "Free." Vague prices get scrolled past. Free stuff goes fast.
Say when
Pickup windows and your preferred contact save everyone a dozen messages.
Heads up: it's text listings only right now — no image upload yet — so paint the picture in words.
